The memory rests clear in your mind. Spoken in a hushed whisper, the blind seer told of power beyond all imagination. You believed him at the time, and you still do. But over the years, doubt crept into your head. Now however, with the weathered sheepskin map on the table before you, you know it must be true. Ancient sorcery shields powerful magic artifacts from the exploit of mere mortals. But what if you one of those magical artifacts were to again see the light of day? What if it was under the control of a wise person, who would use that power for good? Would you heal mankind of famine? Would you banish plague? Or would you use that power to unite the scattered realms into a monolithic empire, where you, as the wise ruler of all mankind, would advance society beyond its wildest dreams.
